Instructor, English Language Acquisition for Adults

Darius received a Master’s Degree in German Philology at the University of Wroclaw in Poland. His career started as an Elementary and High School Teacher in Poland until he moved to the United States In 1994. While living in Chicago, he taught German and Polish at Harper College, as well as working as a Polish and German Interpreter. Darius came to Literacy Volunteers in 2003, teaching English and GED classes; as our student population has increased, he is now solely focused on English Language Acquisition for Adults.

“It is extremely satisfying to see the joy and confidence grow in my students as they improve their English language skills. While I believe education is important at every age, I will never forget the tears of joy and pride in one of my 90-year old students when she successfully completed her English language studies.”
